Honda Happiness MOT Test Insurance; it's just another way we like to keep you happy. It means that if you hand your car over for its MOT test, within 30 days of the due date, you'll be safe in the knowledge that we've got everything covered. If your vehicle fails for a listed item and a stated reason, you can claim up to £500 with only £15 excess.
MOT Test Insurance covers pretty much everything: front and rear lamps, headlamps, headlamp aim, stop lamps, rear reflectors, directional indicators, steering controls, steering mechanism and system, power steering, transmission shafts, wheel bearings, front and rear suspension, shock absorbers, wheel alignment, seat-belt mountings (condition and operation), windscreen wipers and washers.
MOT Test Insurance also covers vehicle structure. If such parts are cited in an MOT Inspection Report (Form VT30) as causing the vehicle to fail it's MOT test, these parts will be covered, during the insurance period, therefore ensuring that the insured vehicle is issued with a valid MOT test certificate. Failure of an MOT test due to a windscreen or emissions test is not covered. Here's an example:
